With Conan O’Brien off the air at the moment, every single one of you needs to be watching Craig Ferguson.

Tuesday night, Craig did an experiment with the genre of the “late night talk show” by removing the audience, tossing aside the silly jokes and sketches, and dropping all the music and things that are a staple of what we expect from such a show.

What follows is a brilliant interview between Ferguson and Stephen Fry that dives deep into the actual persons of each individual. Not only do you gain insights into the minds and hearts of these individuals, but you see that intellectual discussions and intelligence can function and captivate during a late night setting.

Ferguson is brilliant in every sense of the world. Do yourself a favor and watch his show. At the very least, watch this show. The above video includes links to the entire nearly 50-minute interview between these two.

Them Crooked Vultures - Scumbag Blues (Live)

I wanted to post their performance from this past weekend’s SNL, but embedding is disabled at the moment for that. Nonetheless, this is by far the best “supergroup” I’ve ever heard. John Paul Jones is still one of the greatest bass players to ever pick up the instrument and his combination with Dave Grohl on drums makes for what’s probably the best rhythm section in music today.
