I don’t mean to diminish the severity of what’s going on over there. Nearly 1,000 people from a Muslim ethnic group riot in Urumqi are protesting a June brawl between Han Chinese and Uighur workers in a toy factory in southern China that left at least two people dead. The riots have created a still-climbing death toll of 140. Over 800 have been injured. 260 vehicles have been burned in the street, 190 of which have been public buses (the majority were occupied).
